For a series that did so well with showing how grey the world is, her treatment of Slytherins is a little too black and white.Yes, we had good Slytherins when it came to the adults like Slughorn, but not a single Slytherin kid wanted to help Harry, join the DA, or even befriend Harry. It’s too black-and-white with the kids and it would have been great to see more nice Slytherins and even see one join Harry’s friend group. It is fairly safe to say that yes, Voldemort was evil. BUT - he was just one Slytherin. Naturally, he was followed by his closest friends, who were his housemates, but you can see that there were also members of the other houses who followed him. It was a griffindor, no less, who had become his most loyal servant.Harry (and later when Hermione and Ron took their turns) put it on because that was the safest place to keep it.
